COLORIFIC WINS VICTORIAN FAMILY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD!

Colorific has won its second major award for 2006! After kick-starting the year by winning the Australian Development Toy of the Year Award, Colorific have now continued their success and have been recognised as the leading supplier in Children’s Craft, receiving the First Generation – Family Business of the Year award in Victoria.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday May 11, and was attended by over 100 people. A senior manager of the ANZ bank and Michael Tobin, CEO of Tobin Brothers presented Mr. Mark Levi, son of Managing Director Peter Levi, with the First Generation award for Colorific.

The Family Business of the Year award is judged on a range of criteria including Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Family Business Best Practice, Performance and Professionalism, and Community Service.

Using these principles, the winning business must:

  • Be owned and substantially managed by a family or group of families.

  • Have a solid record of financial performance and stability.

  • Be respected within their fields.

  • Have demonstrated a commitment to the ideas of family business.

  • Have demonstrated good corporate citizenship through involvement in the communities in which they operate.

A delighted Colorific team, who has always considered themselves one big extended family, have welcomed this award as a sign of the hard work and values that are the company focus.

Mr Mark Levi, Category Manager, says, "The award is an honor. Colorific works hard to develop innovative products that aid in children’s development, while still creating fun!"

Colorific are now automatically entered into the National Awards, where the winners will be announced at the National Conference on 2nd September 2006.
